Women's Event Gala with the Cast of 'The L Word'

Mercury went direct. Fall is finally here. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour this Sunday. We are about to change presidents. And the cast of The L Word will be in New York this Saturday.

The sixth and final season of The L Word has finished shooting and the cast will be atteneding the 11th Annual Women’s Event for the LGBT Center of New York. The Center, like LGBT centers across the country, is a safe space and super resource for queers of all stripes. The Center provides social services, public policy, educational and cultural/recreational programs as well as being a hub for community organizers. Grassroots organizations such as ACT UP and GLAAD originally got their start there.

The Women’s Event is a dinner, dancing and cocktails black-tie affair which raises funds specifically for women’s and family programs at the Center. The Women’s Event also honors significant women in our community and this year the honorees are: Ilene Chaiken (who needs no introduction on this site), Stephanie Gibbons (Executive Vice President of Marketing and On-Air Promotions at FX) and Lisa Sherman (Executive Vice President and General Manager at Logo).

Oh no, not the end !!!. I'm very sad to learn on this news... but a gala is a good idea to meet lot of people of the community. When same meeting in France?
